What is TANlock?
TANlock is an electronic lock with Authentication, Authorization, Audit controls using PINs, RFID Cards & Biometrics.
Integration & Management
TANlock is easily integrated into Data Center enclosures replacing the exisitng mechanical lock. TANlocks can be managed with the supplied software or via 3rd Party Data Center Infrastructure Managment systems like Optimum Path -Visual Data Center, Sunbird DCIM.
Power for the TANlock
The TANlock uses Power over Ethernet, eliminating the need for an external power source.
If the POE connection is lost then the lock can be powered using the USB-C port on the base of the TANlock.
Alarm Door Contact
A single TANlock can have up to 2 reed type door alarms connected for either front door or front and back door. Alarms are sent as SNMP traps.
SNMP trap events are also generated as the handle is moved from the locked to unlocked position. However, the handle can be in the locked position, but the door open. Aat least one configured door alarm is recommended.
TANlock is delivered with a base configuration that will need to be customized to a customer’s environment. This can be completed using a network link to the default IP address or using a USB-C type cable with the right device driver installed for a serial type connection.
Adapters for Specific Server Racks
TANlock is designed to fit the most common server racks.
If you have a server rack from Rittal, Knürr, Emersson, or Vertiv you need an additional adapter.
If you have a specific requirement for an installation not covered by the standard TANlock fastening method or the existing adapters, then our inhouse Mechanical Engineers can customize a new adapter.
Doors to secure
A server rack normally has two doors, one on the front and one on the back. Youwill need to protect both doors.
In some situations, you might only have to install TANlock on one of these doors.
